Security Cameras With No Visible Wiring: Three Richmond Hill Homes

Three Richmond Hill homes in 2026 where the owners wanted cameras without visible wires. We routed cable through attics and wall cavities to siren-and-strobe cameras covering brick corners and the front porch, leaving no cable on the outside of the house.

Location: Richmond Hill
Property: Three detached homes
Completed: May and September 2026
Services: Security camera installation, concealed wiring
Installed: Cameras with built-in siren and strobe, wired through the attic

Richmond Hill is one of the areas we work in most. These three jobs from 2026 had the same request at their core, and it’s the one we hear most often from homeowners here: we want cameras, but we don’t want to see the wires.

Home 1: “Exposed cable looks bad, and anyone can cut it” (September 2026)

Before we started, this homeowner’s main worry was exposed cable. Partly how it would look on the house, and partly the fact that a cable you can see is a cable someone can cut.

Both are fair points. We ran every camera cable concealed through the attic and wall cavities, so nothing shows on the exterior. The owner’s concern going in was gone by the time we packed up.

Home 2: attic-run siren cameras (May 2026)

For this house we used the attic as the main cable route. From there each cable drops straight down to its camera, so the brick and siding stay clean and the cable is protected from weather and tampering.

Home 3: front porch coverage (May 2026)

One thing we flagged to clients this year: hard drive prices roughly doubled for us in 2026. Instead of putting in the biggest drive by default, we now size storage to how many days of footage you actually need to keep. As a rough guide, seven 4K cameras on a 4 TB drive keep about a week of recording.

How we hide wiring on a finished house

  • Attic first. On most two-storey homes, the attic reaches the soffits and lets cable drop straight to each camera.
  • Existing openings such as pot lights and vents, before cutting anything new.
  • Garage to basement for ground-floor positions.
  • If a short section has to show, we keep it in a corner or along trim, never across an open wall.
