Ajax Alarm, Yale Smart Lock and Active-Deterrence Cameras in One Home System

Owl Vision Solutions installed a combined home security system in the GTA: an Ajax wireless alarm integrated with a Yale smart door lock, plus AiColor active-deterrence cameras that react with light and sound, so the alarm, the front door and the cameras all work together.

Three layers that talk to each other

Most homes end up with security bought piece by piece: a doorbell from one brand, a lock from another, an alarm from a third. This homeowner wanted one setup where the parts complement each other.

1. Ajax wireless alarm

Door and window contacts and motion sensors connect wirelessly to the Ajax hub, with no cables to run through finished walls. It can be monitored by a monitoring station or from your phone. We’re an Ajax Authorized Partner.

2. Yale smart lock

The Yale lock is integrated with the alarm, so the front door becomes part of the system rather than a separate gadget: keyless entry, codes for family or a dog walker, and no keys to copy.

3. AiColor active-deterrence cameras

Colour cameras that can switch on a light and sound a warning when they detect a person, plus round-the-clock recording.

Why combine them

  • Alarm tells you someone got in.
  • Cameras show you who, and can scare them off before they try.
  • Smart lock controls who’s allowed in without handing out keys.

Together they cover before, during and after. In York Region and Toronto, police respond to alarms that have been verified, and cameras make that verification much easier.

Frequently asked questions

Can an alarm and a smart lock work together?

Yes, when they are integrated. You manage both from one place and can see door activity alongside alarm events, instead of juggling separate systems.

What are active-deterrence cameras?

Cameras with a built-in light and siren or speaker that can react when they detect a person. They warn intruders off before they reach the door, rather than only recording what happens.
