Warehouse & Industrial Security Systems in the GTA

Owl Vision Solutions designs and installs security for warehouses, distribution centres and industrial units across Markham, Vaughan and the GTA: intrusion alarms, door and gate access control, cameras including thermal and licence plate recognition, and the network cabling that ties them together.

What We Install for Warehouses and Industrial Sites

  • Intrusion alarms covering doors, dock shutters, offices and high-value storage, with zones you can arm separately
  • Access control for staff entrances, offices, gates and restricted rooms, with schedules, one-time codes for contractors and a log of who entered when
  • Video intercoms at gates and front doors so staff can see who is there before letting them in
  • Security cameras for docks, yards, parking, aisles and entrances
  • Thermal cameras for fence lines and open yards, where they pick up people at night and in poor weather
  • Licence plate recognition at gates, for a searchable record of vehicles coming and going
  • Network cabling, racks and Wi-Fi to carry it all, labelled and documented
  • Live monitoring displays, such as the 100-inch screen we installed in one warehouse’s hallway

What We Look At During a Site Survey

Every warehouse is laid out differently, so we walk the site before we design anything. A typical survey covers:

  1. Loading docks and shipping and receiving doors
  2. The yard, gates and parking: vehicle entry points and where plates can be read
  3. The fence line and building perimeter, especially dark or remote stretches
  4. Racking aisles and any high-value cages or locked storage
  5. Staff entrances, offices and server or electrical rooms
  6. Ceiling heights and mounting points, and whether we need a lift
  7. Where cable can run, and where the network rack and recorder should live

Why Integrate Instead of Adding Separate Systems

Many sites end up with an alarm from one company, cameras from another and keys for everything else. Planned together, the systems are easier to run: door events line up with video, the gate camera reads the plate of the vehicle that triggered it, and the owner manages it all from fewer apps. When we take over an older setup, we check what is worth keeping first, because reusing sound cabling keeps the cost down.

Monitoring, Insurance and Warranty

Alarms can be professionally monitored 24/7 through Global Link Response Centre, the ULC-certified monitoring centre we work with, for $40 a month. If your insurer or broker needs proof of a monitored alarm, we provide the insurance certificate. If your policy asks specifically for a ULC alarm certificate, send us the wording and we’ll confirm what can be issued before you book.

Every installation comes with a 2-year warranty on labour and equipment. Owl Vision Solutions carries $2 million in liability insurance and WSIB coverage, which most landlords and property managers ask to see before work starts on site. We were founded in 2020, our team has more than 10 years of hands-on experience, and we complete around 100 residential and commercial projects a year. You’ll deal directly with Alan or Matt from survey to handover.

How a Project Runs

  1. Site survey and a conversation about what you need to protect and who needs access
  2. Design and written quote listing devices, locations and cable routes
  3. Installation scheduled around your operating hours where possible
  4. Handover: we set up the apps, show your team how to use them and hand over admin access

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a warehouse security installation take?

It depends on floor area, ceiling height and how much cable has to be run. A 100,000 sq ft warehouse we secured with an alarm, access control and a monitoring screen took one week. We give you a timeline with the quote.

Can you work around our shifts and deliveries?

Yes. We plan noisy or disruptive work, such as running cable or working from a lift over aisles, around your operating hours when needed.

Can you add to or take over an existing system?

Usually. We check the recorder, cameras, panels and cabling first and tell you what can stay before recommending anything new.

Do thermal cameras replace regular cameras?

No. Thermal cameras are best at detecting people across open areas in the dark. Regular cameras are still needed to identify faces, vehicles and details at doors and docks, so most sites use both.

Can you provide an alarm certificate for our insurance?

Yes. When the alarm is professionally monitored through Global Link Response Centre, we can provide an insurance certificate. Send us your insurer’s written requirements first. If a specific ULC alarm certificate is required, we will confirm what can be issued before you book.

Which areas do you cover?

We are based in Markham and work across the GTA, including Vaughan, Richmond Hill, North York, Scarborough and Toronto.
